My research: Broadly speaking, I'm looking at cross-cultural knowledge exchange opportunities to facilitate more inclusive services in healthcare settings. More specifically, my PhD project aims to design and evaluate a cross-cultural knowledge exchange programme for Speech and Language Therapists working in India and the UK to share their knowledge, practices and experiences for the care of multilingual autistic children.

My objectives for this workshop: It would be great to have some answers to the following questions:

  • How do you approach policy-makers (e.g. alone or with more senior researchers, spontaneously or following a call, with an informal research summary or published vpaper etc.)?
  • How do you know about the current priorities to see if you research fits (obviously, there's the response to the COVID-19 crisis right now, but what about in 'normal times'?)?
  • Opportunities in healthcare and international development?
