Michael is an experienced National Security professional with a strong focus on Counter Terrorism operations and the translation of operational learning into policy development. He designed and delivered the Olympic Intelligence Centre (OIC) for the London 2012 Games. The OIC, which considered and prioritised the broad range of security threats to London 2012 developed an enduring model for intelligence management at high profile events. Since 2020 Michael has been Director Prevent, one of the four pillars of the UK’s Counter Terrorism Strategy.
