Pontus Rendahl is a University Reader and Chair of the Undergraduate Studies Committee at the Faculty of Economics, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on macroeconomic theory with applications, and recursive and numerical methods. His research has been published in a variety of journals including Review of Economic Studies, and Economic Journal. His current research project, "A Dynamic Economic and Monetary Union" (ADEMU) is funded as part of Horizon 2020, and looks at the impact of macroeconomic and social imbalances on economic stability.

Before joining Cambridge in 2011 Pontus held positions at a variety of international institutions, including Princeton University, Paris School of Economics, and the University of Amsterdam. He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and a BA and MA in Economics from Lund University, Sweden.
