Energy Innovation Policy Advisor, Science & Innovation for Climate & Energy

Victoria Honour is an Energy Innovation Policy Advisor in the Science & Innovation for Climate & Energy Directorate at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). She joined BEIS in autumn 2019.

Victoria works in the strategy team for the BEIS Energy Innovation Programme, with particular responsibility for the Clean Growth Fund.

Prior to this Victoria completed her PhD in Earth Sciences at the University of Cambridge. During her PhD, Victoria paused her research to become a Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (POST) Fellow, placed with the House of Commons Select Committee for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA). Following the Fellowship, she then worked for the Committee on an inquiry, before returning to research.

Her first degree is in Earth Sciences (Oxford University); she also has a Masters in Mining Geology (Camborne School of Mines).
