Yuan Tao is a Doctoral Researcher in the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge, where she is based in the Centre for Industrial Sustainability. Her research is focusing on how policy can lead to an increase in promoting industrial symbiosis. She is also interested in waste management, and the interactions between governments, enterprises and the waste market.

Yuan holds an MPhil in Land Economy Research from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Commercial Project Management from the University of Manchester, and an MSc in Sustainable Urbanism from University College London.
