EU BON Kick off meeting

CSaP attended the EU BON Kick-off Meeting in Berlin earlier this year.

EU BON “Building the European Biodiversity Observation Network” is a European Commission Framework Programme project that launched on 1 December 2012 and will run for four and half years. EU BON's main objective is to contribute a substantial part of GEO BON (Group on Earth Observation Biodiversity Observation Network) and to make better use of biodiversity data to support policy making.

The launch event allowed partners to meet and set objectives for the future. CSaP’s Executive Director, Robert Doubleday, and Policy Intern, Amanda Hall, attended the event.

As one of the 30 partners involved, CSaP will lead the work package on engaging with policy makers and end users. The first stakeholder meeting will take place in June 2013.
