Giorgio is an energy engineer with expertise in leading multiple teams and working with industry to drive decarbonisation forward. From 2022-24, Giorgio joined the Energy & Mobility Deal Strategy team in KPMG, where he is supporting clients as they look to deploy a wide range of decarbonisation technologies, including hydrogen, low carbon fuels and renewable energy.
Previously, Giorgio worked for five years at the UK Department for Transport, where he advised UK government ministers on net zero transport policy, including electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, low carbon fuels and the UN Climate Change Conference. Within the department, in his last role, Giorgio headed up the government’s Advanced Fuels team, supervising the delivery of over £200m of funding and designing a world-leading programme of support to build a UK sustainable aviation fuels industry.
Giorgio holds a BSc in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University of Shanghai, and an MSc in Sustainable Energy from Imperial College London. In his spare time, Giorgio is a photographer, traveller and water polo player.
