In January 2016 Ian Shemilt moved to the UCL Institute of Education from the Behaviour and Health Research Unit, University of Cambridge, where he was a Senior Research Associate.

Alongside his major focus on designing and executing the BHRU Evidence Synthesis programme, Ian Shemilt also contributed to several current projects in the Primary Research programme.

His research focuses on the development and application of:

  • Evidence synthesis methodology to inform public health policy and practice
  • Approaches to evidence synthesis that combines economics and systematic review methods

Ian is also a member of the Methods Executive of The Cochrane Collaboration and a Convenor of the Campbell and Cochrane Economics Methods Group.
