Research Associate, Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, University of Cambridge

John Bellamy is a Research Associate at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, where he is working on the MEITS projects (Multilingualism: Empowering Individuals, Transforming Societies). His research interests include the connections between language and identity, historical sociolinguistics, language standardisation, and multilingualism. He is currently working on the MEITS project, with a focus on the process of standardising language in Luxembourg.

Before joining Cambridge John studied at the University of Manchester, and has previously carried out research in Austria, Germany and Luxembourg.
