Julia Fan Li is currently a doctoral researcher and Gates scholar in the Centre for Technology Management at the IfM. Her main research focus is on innovation management by global health entrepreneurs and exploration of business models which facilitate discovery, development and diffusion of healthcare innovations for base of pyramid markets.

Prior to graduate research, Julia worked for the biotechnology practice of KPMG LLP and as a technical officer for the World Health Organization. She is the co-founder of a social enterprise called African Innovation Prize, encouraging youth entrepreneurship in Rwanda through business plan competitions and started the Young Professionals for Acumen Fund London chapter to encourage social venture capital.

In April 2012, she is convening the first Global Health Commercialization & Funding Roundtable to be held at IfM, University of Cambridge.
