Lucy Thirkell is an academic with research expertise and work experience in the Middle East & bases in Europe. Her doctoral research focused on political space in areas of international legal limbo. Her case study is on civilpolitics in the Gaza Strip, with particular attention to trade, investment and construction, which involved regular visits to Gaza and the Middle East.
