26 January - Implementing whole genome sequencing in clinical practice

Join Dr Anna Pokorska-Bocci from PHG Foundation and a speaker from Illumina, one of the world's leading sequencing and genotyping companies, to talk about whole genome sequencing and what it means for clinical practice and the delivery of healthcare.

8 March - Using genomic technologies for reproductive care in developing countries

We will be hearing from anthropologist Dr Margaret Sleeboom-Faulkner about her interests in genomics in Asia, and discussing some of the ethical issues arising from the use of genomic technologies in reproductive and prenatal care in developing countries. An event with the Cambridge Humanitarian Centre to mark International Women's Day.

31 May - Epigenetics

Join us in a discussion with leading academic and industry researchers to find out more about epigenetics – the study of inherited characteristics that are not set out in your DNA.

5 July - Mainstreaming genomics in the NHS

With colleagues from the Department of Health and the Judge Business School, we will be looking at some of the key challenges in implementing genomic medicine in the NHS.
