Ivan Collister is a Research Associate in the Faculty of History. He was a senior civil servant in 10 Downing Street, amongst other roles, before his return to Cambridge in 2016. He is currently the lead researcher on a study of expertise in government policymaking, contributing to the Cambridge Strategic Research Initiative on Public Policy. Ivan’s wider research interests include labour history, electoral politics, and the history of social policy in modern Britain.
