Former Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge

As Director of the Centre of Entrepreneurial Learning, Dr Vyakarnam designed and delivered courses in the practice of enterprise. He is deeply involved in the development of practitioner-led education for entrepreneurship and on educational reforms for the next generation of entrepreneurs. His goal of spreading the spirit of enterprise through information and inspiration is at the heart of his work at the Centre.

He has previously worked in entrepreneurship policy for the UK government, UN agencies and for the EU and World Economic Forum. He has advised government agencies in several countries on the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems, technology commercialisation and entrepreneurship education.

Dr Vyakarnam’s interest in business and entrepreneurship drives his involvement in several start-up companies, in particular identifying the global potential of Indian innovation. He is a co-founder and Director of AcceleratorIndia, on the board of Enterprise Educators UK and the UK India Business Council

Prior to joining the University of Cambridge, Dr Vyakarnam was a faculty member of Cranfield School of Management before taking up a Chair in Enterprise at Nottingham Business School. He is a member of Royal Society of the Arts, UKSEC - National network of enterprise support and the Indo-British Partnership Network.
