Alice Hutchings is a University Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge Department of Computer Science and Technology. She is based in the Cambridge Cybercrime Centre, an interdisciplinary research centre set up between the Computer Laboratory, the Faculty of Law, and the Institute of Criminology. Her research focuses on two main areas; the prevention of online crime, and understanding cybercrime perpetrators. As part of her research she has established the Cambridge Computer Crime Database, which tracks arrests and prosecution outcomes of cybercriminals.

Alice holds a PhD from Griffith University, Australia. Her research has been published in a variety of academic journals, including the Journal of Cybersecurity, and the British Journal of Criminology.
