Dr Jason Robinson is a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge. He works in the Device Materials research group and his research is concerned with investigating the proximity coupling between superconducting and magnetic materials in thin-film multilayers and in heterostructure devices. Due to the weak coupling of these materials, samples are grown with sub-nm thickness control and state-of-the-art nanofabrication techniques are used to create nanoscale superconductor / magnetic devices.

He did his MEng at Imperial College London before coming to Cambridge to do his PhD. Dr Robinson is a Fellow of St John's College.
