Chair of Cambridge Colleges' Development Group, and Development Director of Pembroke College, Cambridge

Matthew Mellor's role is to raise money for Pembroke College, particularly through the College's Corporate Partnership Programme, which helps partner companies negotiate and gain access to the expertise of leading academics via a dynamic network centred on Pembroke College. Through seminars, workshops and other projects, practitioners, researchers and academics can build relationships of benefit to all. The primary aim of the Programme is to provide a straightforward and effective way for businesses to work with the College and the University and to access its network of 'hidden' intelligence. Since its inception in 1996, the Corporate Partnership Programme has grown from a cluster of contacts mainly in the pharmaceutical sector, and it now covers sectors as different as property, engineering, back-office outsourcing and ICT as well as pharmaceuticals.

Since June 2011 Matthew has also chaired the Cambridge Colleges' Development Group is the professional association of development staff in the colleges of the University of Cambridge.

Matthew holds an MA in Classics and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
