Senior Manager, Brand and Corporate Affairs, Aviva

Sid works in the Brand & Corporate Affairs Group in Aviva, which is responsible for brand, public policy, sustainability, communications and corporate responsibility.

Prior to joining Aviva, Sid spent several years in HM Treasury's Financial Services, Enterprise & Growth and Tax Groups advising Ministers on a range of economic issues. This includes leading a team to design and operationalise the £2bn Future Fund for the tech sector, authoring the National Infrastructure Commission's paper calling for the now created UK Infrastructure Bank, leading a set of legislative City reforms and most recently heading a team negotiating the UK's Free Trade Agreements. Sid also headed up the R&D Strategy and Innovation team at the Government Office for Science under Sir Patrick Vallance during the Covid-19 pandemic. He started his career at Brunswick Group, a leading strategic advisory firm.

Sid holds a Bachelor of Science in Economic History and a Master of Science in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, the latter funded through a full ESRC Studentship and LSE Award. His Policy Fellowship at CSaP explored a range of questions related to finance, tech and public engagement.
