Prior to rejoining HM Treasury, Siddharth headed up the R&D Strategy and Innovation team at GO-Science, which is responsible for developing policy ideas to better exploit the UK’s R&D landscape across the public, private and third sectors.

Siddharth previously worked in the Enterprise and Growth Unit of HM Treasury, where he was one of the policy leads for the Future Fund, a c.£1.5bn co-investment fund for start-ups and scale-ups, and authored the Treasury’s review of student loan sales. He has also worked on financial services policy at HM Treasury and led the National Infrastructure Commission’s proposal for a National Infrastructure Bank.

Siddharth holds a B.Sc. in Economic History and a M.Sc. in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the latter funded through an ESRC Studentship.
