This year instead of holding a one-day annual conference in London, we will be delivering a series of virtual seminars in May and June on topics that CSaP and our network have worked on over the past year. Invited experts will offer insights into some of the latest research that has the potential to inform decisions taken by policy makers.
The third virtual seminar in this series will be on the topic of systems thinking.

Date: 2 June 2020

Time: 11:00-12:15 on Zoom

Host: Nicola Buckley

This session will include perspectives on systems thinking from Paul Kett, Department for Education, and Pedro Wrobel, Cabinet Office, addressing some of the incentives and barriers for implementing a systems approach. We also plan to discuss systems leadership and what the attributes of systems leaders may be. Professor John Clarkson will talk about his work, referring to the toolkit development and training that has followed the ‘Engineering Better Care’ report for the health and care community. We will also hear from Dr Luke Roberts about applying a systems approach to problems such as violence and conflict reduction in schools and criminal justice settings.
