Academics and policymakers from the UK, Japan and the Netherlands came together to discuss the contribution made to the field of science and policy studies by Susan Owens' new book, Knowledge, Policy and Expertise: The UK Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution 1970-2011.
The round table seminar heard presentations from Maarten Hajer (Utrecht University), Albert Weale (UCL), Harriet Bulkeley (Durham), Marcel Kok (PBL) and David Lewis, former secretary to the Royal Commission, before Susan Owens closed with concluding remarks.
