Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting

Almira Zejnilagic Cemmell is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. Almira leads the Europe and Africa team of the Global Risk and Investigations Practice (GRIP) based in London and manages a variety of pre-transactional due diligence investigations, arbitration support and dispute resolution cases.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Almira headed up the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources department at Global Witness, an international NGO that investigates corruption in the natural resources sectors. Prior to Global Witness she spent several years as an Associate Partner managing Russian and Eastern European work at a competitor firm in London. Before this, Almira worked in the Serbian Ministry of Finance (for Schlumberger-Sema) and at the Serbian Parliament (for the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe - OSCE). She was also one of the leaders of the Serbian Student Union in the early 2000s which played a pivotal role in establishing the post-Communist government.

Almira has an MA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Belgrade University, where she graduated with Honours. She speaks English, Russian, Serbo-Croat and a number of Slavic languages as well as basic Farsi. Almira is one of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum.
