CSaP’s mission is to improve public policy making through the more effective use of evidence and expertise. Since our launch in 2009, we have pioneered approaches to bring science and policy together. We forge relationships based on mutual understanding and trust, and build networks of people with shared values of intellectual curiosity and public service. From this starting point we curate open and exploratory conversations to address public policy priorities.
Every Fellowship is unique, determined by the questions you, the Policy Fellow, ask and the opportunities you choose to pursue.
Our workshops, seminars, lectures and annual conference bring together policy professionals and researchers to discuss and debate high-priority public policy issues.
By convening the right experts in the right setting to explore evidence and ideas, our workshops can unlock complex policy issues.
CSaP's professional development opportunities provide researchers with the necessary skills and confidence to work outside their own area of expertise.
CSaP's network spans all disciplines, connecting people from the physical, engineering and life sciences to the humanities, arts and social sciences.
We help academics increase the policy impact of their work by facilitating meaningful connections through our workshops and Fellowships.
"I've seen the impact of CSaP's work at close quarters over many years - I encourage academics and policy makers to engage for the good of research, policy and society."
