CSaP’s mission is to help improve the quality of public policy making through the more effective use of evidence and expertise. CSaP starts with the questions from policy professionals and fosters networks between policy and science based on mutual understanding, respect and trust. The experience and diversity of our unique network provides fresh perspectives and critical challenges to conventional thinking, and helps research from all disciplines contribute more effectively to society.
Our workshops, seminars, lectures and annual conference bring together policy professionals and researchers to discuss and debate high-priority public policy issues.
The Policy Fellowships Programme represents CSaP’s distinctive approach, based on addressing the questions which policy makers identify.
We are working with our partners in Cambridge to support CSaP Policy Fellows as they respond to the Covid-19 pandemic.
CSaP's professional development opportunities provide early-career researchers with the necessary skills and confidence to work outside their own area of expertise.
Our workshops provide a forum to cross examine and re-evaluate issues that are of direct relevance to policy makers.
We help academics increase the policy impact of their work by facilitating meaningful connections through our workshops and Fellowships.
"By building networks of evidence and expertise for public policy, the Centre for Science and Policy can make a real difference to how government meets the biggest challenges we face today."
