Anna is an experienced policy professional with a range of experience across education and health policy. She currently leads a team in the Scottish Government’s Mental Health Directorate working on autism and learning disability policy. Prior to this she worked in the UK Office for Life Sciences and in the Department for Education where she held roles as Private Secretary to the Schools Minister and as a senior policy adviser on international higher education.
Before joining the Civil Service, Anna spent three years at Oxford University researching mental health in adolescence and two years working as a primary school teacher. She read Experimental Psychology at Oxford University and received her PGCE and master’s degree from the University of Cambridge. She has published work in a range of academic journals including the Journal of Educational Psychology and Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
