Emma Ward is the Research, Evidence and Analysis Programme Manager at the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, whose role is promote and ensure that strategy and policy decisions are evidence-led. Emma oversees and manages the LEP's research programme, including data, evidence and evaluation activities.

Emma, first joined the North East LEP in 2017, as Policy and Evidence co-ordinator, supporting the LEP's work around EU exit, devolution and the previous industrial strategy. She has also coordinated and supported a number of regional groups such as the North East Brexit Group, that supported the region as we transitioned out of the EU and the North East Economic Evidence Forum, that brings together data users and researchers to develop a regional research agenda and programme of work.

Prior to joining the LEP, Emma also worked as an Evaluation Officer at the social enterprise, the Wise Group and as a research consultant for the national consultancy firm, ERS.
