Dr Faye Taylor is Deputy Director for International Strategy, Union & Devolution at the Department for Education, building education policy and partnerships between governments overseas and the UK education system to create opportunities for people, business and society to thrive. Before joining the Civil Service, Faye worked in government relations and policy to optimise the impact of Higher Education in sustainable development and regional innovation ecosystems at the Association of Commonwealth Universities and University Alliance. Faye transitioned into policy via the King George VI Postdoctoral fellowship at Cumberland Lodge, connecting academic research to public policy making. Previously she had researched and taught medieval European history, completing her PhD at the University of Nottingham and teaching at King’s College London, and more recently completed a Masters in Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
