Dr Bandi is an expert in financial services regulations, technologies and risk management analytics. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Regulatory Genome Project at Cambridge Judge Business School, working on machine-readable regulations and AI-RegTech applications. Furthermore, he acts as external expert for the IMF in securities regulations and financial technologies and consults for the World Bank Group. Dr Bandi regularly conducts research on applications of distribution ledgers technologies in finance and ESG regulations.
Dr Bandi previously worked as Director of Supervision at the QFCRA in Qatar and he was an IOSCO Investment Management Committee standing member. He also served the UK's FSA as Technical Specialist in Investment Management and gained industry experience as head of wealth management analytics at MSCI RiskMetrics. Dr Bandi also taught economics and finance for many years at Northwestern University in its Qatar campus. Dr Bandi holds a PhD from Durham University, an LL.M in EU Business Law and an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University.
