Dr Ibrahim Bou-Orm is a Associate Professor and Teaching Lead at the Institute for Global Health and Development at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, where he completed his PhD. His global health research focuses on the system dynamics of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) prevention and control in fragile situations such as Lebanon. He plans to conduct a political economy analysis of NCD-related public policies. He works closely with the Lebanese Ministry of Health to translate research findings into public health practice.
Dr Bou-Orm has been a consultant on NCDs for the Lebanese Ministry of Health and he gained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut in 2015, followed by a Master of Public Health degree from the American University of Beirut.
