Julie-Anne Hogbin is the Programme Co-ordinator for the Office of the Executive Director Europe in the Environmenal Defense Fund. She was previously Centre Manager for Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity at the University of Surrey, and has held similar roles with Anglia Ruskin University, and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funded Low Carbon KEEP Programme.

Julie-Anne also led on the sustainability agenda at Maldon District Council. This included tackling fuel poverty in the Maldon District, reducing the carbon emissions from the Council's operations, and building the Council's capacity to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
