Senior Research and Teaching Associate, Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC), Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge
Kwadwo is currently a Senior Research and Teaching Associate in Urban Systems and Infrastructure Management at the Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC) in the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. In this role he conducts research into responsible placed based leadership for developing and implementing digital innovations in the urban built environment to deliver public value. He is an AI-deas challenge lead on a flagship University project that seeks to root public sector use of artificial intelligence in ethical considerations for the creation of connected places. He also leads the development of educational material focused on Leadership of Urban Digital Innovation for Public Value (LeadUP) to be run at the University of Cambridge.
Kwadwo’s interdisciplinary research, often inspired by a social constructivist perspective, falls under the overarching theme of technological innovations in the built environment. With a background in construction technology and project management, his work has evolved to focus on how technical and social elements interact to shape technological advancements in the creation and management of the built environment. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals including International Journal of Project Management, Sustainable Cities and Society, Construction Management and Economics, Construction Innovation and the Journal of Urban Management, and presented at conferences.
