Nikolai Kazantsev is a Research Associate in the Business Model Innovation Group in the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge where he works on EPSRC-funded project 'Elastic Manufacturing Systems'. His research centres around the developing, deploying and reconfiguring production capacities on demand. The particular issue of Nikolai's interest is in planning emergency production for a future pandemic by taking systems-level views on societal resilience. Before coming to Cambridge, he was Research Associate in Data-driven business models at the University of Exeter, focusing on open data, data sharing, and open innovation. Nikolai obtained a PhD from The University of Manchester in 2022. He holds a dual M.Sc. in Information Systems from University of Munster and Higher School of Economics.
Nikolai was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship at Clare Hall Cambridge, set to start in October 2024.
