Professor Richard Holton is Professor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy, at the University of Cambridge. His current work focuses mainly on Moral Psychology, Ethics, Philosophy of Law and Philosophy of Language.

Prior to taking up his post at Cambridge he taught at MIT, and before that at Monash, the ANU, Sheffield and Edinburgh. He did his BA in PPE at University College, Oxford, did some graduate work at Nuffield College and the École normale supérieure in Paris, and then did his PhD at Princeton.

Professor Holton is a Fellow of Peterhouse.
