Ricky Lee is recognised as one of the world’s leading experts in space law. He has acted for launch operators, satellite operators, regulatory agencies, and government entities around the world, and has also attained much experience and expertise through a career in private commercial practice, specialising in international business, technology start-ups, and cross-border disputes.
He has been in legal practice for two decades and is admitted to practice in Australia and New Zealand.
Ricky has taught at Australian and overseas universities in space law, public & private international law, comparative law, international business law, commercial law, and trade law. He has published extensively with over 120 books, chapters, articles, and seminar papers to his name on space law, international law, and commercial law, including the multidisciplinary monograph Law and Regulation of Commercial Mining of Minerals in Outer Space, published by Springer Netherlands in 2012, and as lead author of the upcoming Doing Business under the Australia-China Free Trade Agreement: Insights for Businesses, to be published by LexisNexis Australia in 2019.
