Sam is a research scientist interested in ecology, conservation, and invasive species. Currently he is working on the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to streamline the collation of evidence from published and grey literature to better inform conservation action. Additionally, he is focused on co-designing AI tools which will allow decision makers to interact with evidence in an intuitive way. He holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of Cambridge, which focused on harnessing the impacts of aquatic invasive species, and a MSc and BSc Hons in Biological sciences from the University of Warwick.
