Sofia Ropek Hewson is a senior policy adviser in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and works on Homes for Ukraine policy. Before joining DLUHC, Sofia worked on higher education policy in the Department for Education. Sofia is co-chair of DLUHC’s Gender Equality Network and has a PhD in gender politics from the University of Cambridge.
