Senior Analyst, RAND Europe

Stuart Parris is a senior analyst at RAND Europe. He has published research on innovation processes and dynamics in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environmental and clean technology sectors with a specialisation in entrepreneurship, small business and finance for innovation. Previous research has been funded by via a European Commission FP7 funded research consortium, as well as by the UK's Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the British Academy.

Stuart is a member of the Innogen Institute Management Group (previously the ESRC Innogen Centre) a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and the Open University, and a researcher at the Centre for Innovation, Knowledge and Development. Prior to joining RAND Europe, he was a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Open University. He has a strong focus on interdisciplinary research for innovation policy, working with quantitative and qualitative methods. Prior to his career in policy research he worked for companies in venture capital and financial services.
