Dr Thomas Walters is a senior research scientist at DeepMind; an artificial intelligence company specialising in building powerful learning algorithms using the best techniques from machine learning and systems neuroscience. In 2014, DeepMind received the 'Company of the Year' Award from the Cambridge Computer Laboratory.

Dr Walters is a member of DeepMind Applied, which builds real-world applications of AI technology, drawing on the best available technologies together with original research. He received an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2004 and a PhD from the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge in 2011.
