CSaP's mission is to improve policy making through the more effective use of evidence and expertise. During our 15-year history, we have led the UK in building a core network of leading researchers and public policy professionals spanning academia and public service with as many again in our communications networks. The Policy Fellowships programme is our flagship service, offering policy makers a bespoke two-year programme of one-to-one meetings and workshops with researchers and academics.

About the role

As the Policy Fellowships Coordinator, you will meet new Policy Fellows from all areas of government, help shape their policy questions, seek researchers and academics who can help, and design tailored programmes to foster dialogue. You will also support a wide range of other activities to build the network and explore live policy issues.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Policy Fellowship Programme, including the recruitment of approximately 36 new Fellows annually and the coordination of the operational and logistical aspects of their visits. The role involves extensive engagement with academics across the university to facilitate tailored policy engagement.

The Policy Fellowships Coordinator also takes the lead on designing and delivering our termly Policy Seminar Programme, a series of in-person and virtual seminars, providing valuable opportunities for Policy Fellows to engage with policy-relevant themes and build lasting connections with CSaP.

About the candidate

You will be educated to Bachelor degree level or have equivalent experience, with experience of working in a field related to public policy.

We're looking for someone with expertise in events and programme management. You will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills, and the ability to research detailed policy questions and identify relevant academic expertise across disciplines and policy areas. Experience in a client service environment, and a commitment to client service focus, are essential for this role.
