Through our workshops, secondments and internships, CSaP provides opportunities for early- and mid-career researchers to learn how academic research contributes to policy making, and to gain experience of working at the intersection of research and policy.
Our professional development activities provide the knowledge and skills needed to engage with the policy development process.
We help academics interested in taking up leadership roles in the scientific community to improve their understanding of the needs and concerns of policy makers.
Policy interns funded by the Research Councils work as part of our team, organising workshops, meeting Policy Fellows and writing reports for non-expert audiences.
"Doing a policy internship gives you new perspectives that you can then take forward in your academic career to influence policy. There are only good things that you can learn from an experience like this."
