Engineered pandemics risk management programme launch event
A joint initiative between the Centre for Science and Policy and CRASSH
27 February 2025 (5pm-7pm), Trinity Hall, Cambridge
Please join us as we celebrate the launch of the groundbreaking Engineered Pandemics Risk Management Programme, a pioneering initiative established in 2024 to address the challenges of engineered pandemic risks through a transdisciplinary approach.
This programme has two key objectives:
- to develop a robust conceptual framework for managing engineered pandemic risks
- to enhance the UK’s policy and practice capabilities through fostering a vibrant network for learning and collaboration
At the heart of our programme is a commitment to convening experts from academia, government, industry and civil society aiming to co-create research, share knowledge, and implement actionable insights. Together we are building a well-connected, well-informed, and highly motivated network of people in the UK dedicated to tackling the complexities of engineered pandemic risk management.
The Co-Directors, Clare Bryant and Rob Doubleday, will introduce the programme, with contributions from other members of the research team and invited guests. All attendees are invited to join us for a drinks reception following the presentations.
We look forward to welcoming you!
