Amarpreet is a Lecturer in the School of Social Policy at the University of Birmingham. Her doctoral research in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge was focussed on human germline genome editing as a potential reproductive choice in the United Kingdom, in relation to disease. She also completed a Fellowship at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (2019-2020), during which she co-authored a POSTnote on Human Germline Genome Editing.
