Anita is Director of Regulation at the National Audit Office, where she leads on the NAO’s approach to driving efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory systems. Prior to this she was a Deputy Director at DLUHC where she played a leading role in the government’s response to the Grenfell Tragedy, returning mortgage lending to high rise flats and insurance to the construction workforce, both of which had previously frozen in the wake of the Grenfell Crisis. She then led the department’s enforcement strategy in light of the the new regulatory regime set out by the Building Safety Act 2022.
She has held roles across the private and public sector, in public policy, energy and resources, social impact and risk management. She has also worked in a number of countries including Brazil, Mongolia and Guinea. She is passionate about improving public policy and economic development.
