Becky Inkster is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge. A neuroscientist with background hands-on experience in genomics, neuroimaging and epigenetics, her research examines how digital technology (including social media data) can be better utilised for mental health, including improving the reach of mental health awareness to disadvantaged groups. She is a co-founder of "Hip Hop Psych", which uses hip hop music to improve public engagement and awareness in mental health issues and psychoeducation.

Becky holds a DPhil in Psychiatry from the University of Oxford. She is a Consultant on digital mental healthcare for Legal & General, an Advisor for the AI healthcare start-up "Wysa", and has previously held roles with King's College London, and GlaxoSmithKline. In 2017 she launched the Digital Innovation in Mental Health conference, and received the VC's Public Engagement in Research award in 2016.
