Bill Thorpe is the policy director at the Department for Work and Pensions for child and working-age disability benefits and the health assessments that act as the gateway to those benefits which support 5 million people at a cost of £60bn per annum.

Prior to this post, Bill was the Deputy Strategic Finance Director at DWP. He has held numerous finance and policy roles in DWP, the Cabinet Office, the No10 Policy Unit and the then Ministry for Housing.
