Prior to joining the University of Cambridge Dr Clive Kerr was a Research Engineer at Cranfield University on the Engineering Doctorate program and was sponsored by Rolls-Royce. His PhD involved the detailed design and analysis of instrumentation products for application onto in-flight aeroengines.
During this period, he also completed the Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management, as well as follow-on research in practitioner-based strategy. Clive went on to become a Research Officer in Engineering Design at the Enterprise Integration Department at Cranford where he was involved with collaborative research projects with Nissan, Johnson Controls and EDS in the integration of requirements management for extended enterprises.
Dr Kerr has also undertaken research for the development of product and process ontologies for automotive systems and business process integration, together with competitive tendering practices and processes for contracting out product development.
