Grace Carey works as the Science and Technology Counsellor at the British Embassy, Beijing.

Her former role was at BEIS, developing and implementing its international strategy as well as representing BEIS and HM Government at cross cutting international fora.

Previously, Grace was head of energy and climate change policy coordination at the Department for Exiting the European Union. She has held a series of energy posts in the former Department of Energy and Climate Change, and returned to government from an 18 month secondment to the BBC. Grace trained as a Barrister in London before joining the Civil Service.
