Programme Manager, Sustainable Finance, CISL

Grant Rudgley is the Programme Manager for the Banking Environment Initiative (BEI), a group of global banks at the vanguard of sustainable finance hosted by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) since 2010. With the BEI he pioneers approaches that empower banks to integrate social and environmental considerations into mainstream finance, as well as developing insights that solve for horizon challenges facing the sustainable finance community. Grant also leads CISL’s Nature-related Finance programme, in which banks, investment managers and insurers develop market-leading approaches to halt and reverse nature loss.

Grant is an experienced sustainable finance professional with a passion for pioneering thinking, approaches and solutions that accelerate progress to an inclusive, sustainable economy.

He began his career at Chatham House, then spent many years as a financial analyst focused on the energy sector before leadership roles in corporate finance and transfer pricing.

He contributes to University of Cambridge courses on sustainability and sustainable finance and previously taught International Politics of Energy at King’s College London.
