Harriet currently works in bilateral trade relations at the UK’s Department for International Trade where she is responsible for optimising outcomes for the UK in services, investment and digital and telecoms trade with the 60+ partners with whom the UK has existing trade agreements.

Since joining the department in 2019, Harriet has worked on many of the UK’s first independent trade agreements. She was Policy and Strategy lead for the UK’s Trade Continuity Programme and led on services and investment for the UK-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.

Harriet originally joined the Civil Service in 2017 and has previously worked at the Cabinet Office, HMRC and Defra
