James Ajioka is a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Parasitology at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge. His PhD, undertaken at Stony Brooke University in New York, studied population genetics in Drosophilia. As an NIH postdoctoral fellow he worked at Washington University in the lab of Professor Dan Hartl, where he helped create the Drosophila Genome Project
His current research interests include the genetic analysis of the parasitic protozoan Toxoplasma gondii. His work has been published in multiple academic journals, including the Journal of Neuroinflammation and the Annual Review of Microbiology.
