Reader in Physics, Department of Physics, Imperial College London

Dr John Hassard is a Reader in Physics in the Department of Physics at Imperial College London. He research interests include heavy quark decays and energy issues, and has worked on policy and technologies of nuclear power and the proliferation of nuclear weapons. He also has interest in applications of particle physics in biotechnology.

Dr Hassard founded the tidal power company HydroVenturi Ltd and is its non-executive Chairman. He is interested in environmental matters and has developed an advanced air pollution analysis system.
