Karan joined CSaP in January 2023 as a part of a 3-month internship.

He is a Biotechnology PhD student in the BioElectronics Systems Technology Group at the University of Cambridge. His research is focused on using bioelectronic devices to develop new types of antibiotics, and he is also interested in the connection between public policy and life science research.

Previously, Karan completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford where he conducted research on developing antidote compounds to nerve agents. Before his PhD, he was a research assistant at Imperial College London where he worked on engineering novel proteins for high performance textile applications.
